My name is Amber. I have been a Veterinary Technician for eight years at Ham Lake Vet; I got hired while in college and have been here since. I attended Argosy University; I graduated in 2016. Now I’m the Hospital Manager here. I have two young kids, two dogs (Butters, Gator) and a cat (Wicket), and I can’t forget my betta fish (goldy). During my free time, which with two kids a year apart, it’s hard to have, I enjoy yoga, reading, traveling, and knitting.
I’ve loved animals since I was a kid; my goal is to go back to school to become a CVT and work in an equine hospital or a zoo. I’ve got four animals of my own that keep me pretty busy. I love riding, reading, hiking, kayaking, scuba diving, and traveling domestically and internationally. I’d love to learn a couple of new languages, photography, vegetable gardening, and calligraphy.
Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant
Hi! I’m Kayla; I’ve been a tech since 2010. I worked as an emergency tech at the beginning of the year and still have a passion for helping with complicated cases. I spend most of my time with my “kids” at home when not working. I have a small herd of horses, a pack of dogs, a few cats, a flock of chickens & ducks, a handful of pocket pets, and a trio of peafowl. I enjoy showing my horses when not cleaning the barn or fixing the fence.
Hi! My name is Lydia, and I’m a veterinary technician at Ham Lake Veterinary Hospital. I graduated from NDSU in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Technology and a double minor in Animal Science and Large Animal Veterinary Technology. I started working at Ham Lake Veterinary Hospital in March of 2021. I do not own any animals for myself yet, but I hope to someday! I enjoy working with animals, large and small. I enjoy camping with my family, being outdoors, and spending time with friends in my free time.
Certified Veterinary Technician
Veterinarian Technician Assistant
My name is Hannah, and I have been at Ham Lake Vet since 2019. I have always loved animals and knew since I was little that I’d have a career working with them one day. I couldn’t picture myself doing anything different! When I’m not at work, I spend time with my daughter, fiancé, and four fur babies, Callie, Winston, Sox, and Achilles!

Hey, I’m Mena, and this is my dog Homer! I’m the Kennel Assistant, and I’ve been here since July 2020. One of my favorite thing to do is American Sign Language. I’ve been learning ASL for three years and hope to continue!
